Gounod's famous setting of the Ave Maria was arranged and based on Bach's Prelude No.1 In C BWV 846 from the Well-Tempered Clavier Book 1. This piece has been famously sung by many singers across the world and has been arranged for many different instruments, and therefore enjoyed by a number of instrumentalists too.
This version has been beautifully transcribed for solo Organ with a Violin ad lib. part, by Edward Shippen Barnes.
The Violin ad lib. part is also included on a separate insert.
