Out of Earth is a free musical exploration of the creation mythology from Ovid's "Metamorphoses". Much like in other mythologies, it describes the journey of the human race from a once golden age through its destruction by the great flood culminating in its rebirth by the Earth. In the course of its composition, the music began to emerge from these images and then grew beyond them. Out of Earth was commissioned by the Aulos Wind Orchestra, Kriens (CH) and was first performed in October 2015 under the direction of José Rafael Pascual Vilaplana.
