Ron Stewart, fiddler with The Boxcars and a go-to session player, has made a life?s history of this music, and shares his insight on this DVD. Ron starts with a look at Arthur Smith, the granddaddy of American fiddle, to show how much he influenced everyone that followed in the 1940s. From there he takes six prominent Flatt & Scruggs fiddlers and teaches representative recorded solos from each of them.
