The Golden Years Of Revival Jazz is the result of several years of preparation. It’s a series of re-releases from Storyville’s traditional jazz repertoire, recorded in the 1950s and 60s, although some of the material is only now seeing the light of day for the first time! Volume 3 focusses on the Danish trombonist Papa Bue , who formed his Viking Jazzband in 1956. The band became associated with the Dixieland Jazz revival, at a time when many musicians were working towards the new Bebop style. As you expect from Storyville, this CD is a high-quality release of some original recordings, blended to create a unique Jazz experience.
